If you visited this page, then, most probably, you have tried to install Vypress Chat into the unsupported system configuration or Windows version.
Beginning with version 1.9, Vypress Chat cannot be installed into Windows 95. If you are still using this platform you should download and use the previous version — Vypress Chat 1.5.1. Version 1.5.1 is compatible with the latest version, with the exception of the Unicode support and encryption capabilities. However, you will still be able to participate in chats, send, and receive messages and so on. All you need is to configure Vypress Chat 1.5.1 to use TCP/IP protocol.

If you use Windows NT 4.0 you should make sure that you have TCP/IP protocol installed as well as the latest Service Pack 6a for this platform. For full-feature emoticons support you should also install Internet Explorer 5.0 or later.

If you use another operating system, but have IPX/SPX network only you will not be able to install Vypress Chat 1.9 or later, because this network protocol is no more supported. Both, Novell and Microsoft dropped the support for IPX/SPX protocols into their latest OS, so we decided to do the same. However, if you do not want to install the TCP/IP (as everywhere strongly recommended) you may use Vypress Chat 1.5.1 via the IPX/SPX protocol:
